Lange sold a majority stake in her New York clothing line to private equity group Bluestar Alliance in 2007 for a reported $50 million.“My mother always talked about how owning your own business was always better than any job you could ever have. Owning your own small business is better than being president of the largest company, because that’s still just a job. She had great style and she still does, so I was very much aware of style and fashion from a young age from her.”
